Learning With Us

At Thomas Hinderwell we focus on ensuring each one of our pupils receives high quality teaching in order to reach their full academic potential. 

As well as encouraging our pupils to achieve their very best in literacy and numeracy, we also encourage all of our children to explore their creative side. Art, drama, music and sport are all very important to academy life as we believe that learning should be both fun and rewarding. For us, primary education is as much about the experience as it is the academic results.

We work hard to inspire children to become independent learners who think for themselves and take responsibility for their own learning. We encourage children to ask questions and engage with the outside world so they can see where they are positioned within their community and the wider world.

At Thomas Hinderwell we see every child as an individual with their own needs and strengths. It is our job as a school to enhance those strengths and cater for their needs. As an academy we are committed to continuous improvement whilst encouraging our positive ethos and values. We want all our pupils to leave primary education with the confidence and readiness to take on secondary school.
