VE Day Celebrations

For our VE celebrations, staff and children came to school dressed in 1940’s inspired clothing, well done to everyone who made such an effort. All the children made a sandwich, to eat as a school, to reinforce what it was like in the war and needing to ration. This was also part of our life skills curriculum as children needed to spread, cut and chop their ingredients. A big thank you to our Year 5 children who went to Lidl to purchase all of the ingredients needed whilst budgeting. Year 5 made cupcakes for all classes as a celebration of VE Day.
