Pupil Premium
The Government provides academies and schools with additional funding to help reduce inequalities and gaps in attainment between those students who are on free school meals (FSM) and their peers.
This funding is called the Pupil Premium.
If you would like to know about the impact of our pupil premium expenditure last academic year and to see our plans for this year, please see the documents below.
Sports Premium Funding
Schools have the flexibility to use the Sports Premium funding to best support their PE and sport provision. For 2024–2025, our aim is to improve the quality of teaching, increase participation, and promote healthy, active lifestyles across the school.
Our planned use of the funding aligns with the five key indicators from the Department for Education:
-
Increasing staff confidence and skills in teaching PE – through training and support from specialists.
-
Engaging all pupils in regular physical activity – increasing opportunities for daily physical activity.
-
Raising the profile of PE and sport across the school – using sport to support whole-school development.
-
Offering a broader range of sports and activities – to engage more pupils in physical activity.
-
Increasing participation in competitive sport – through internal and external competitions.
These priorities guide our decisions to ensure a lasting impact on pupils’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
