Remote Learning - Year 3
Our teachers are still looking after your children during this lock-down. Each week, like the previous lock-down, they will contact you to check that everything is going well and to see if there is anything else we can do to help. Furthermore, they will be available through Google Classroom marking the children's work and answering questions.
If children are self-isolating, there is an expectation that they still complete work daily following the timetable of their class and return ALL work through Google Classroom, so that the teacher can give summary feedback about areas for improvement.
If the year group bubble has to close, there is an expectation that children will move to remote learning and continue to follow their timetable.
Below is the remote learning timetable
Each week, members of the Lower Key Stage 2 Team will post a variety of:
- 5 Talk for Reading lessons
- 5 Talk for Writing lessons
- 5 Effective Maths lessons
- Daily fluency and spelling sessions
- PE challenges
- Weekly DRET competitions
- Wednesday's Wellbeing Board, which will include Music, PSHE (Jigsaw), Mindfulness, Yoga and Art challenges
- Core Knowledge lessons, which will include Geography, PE, RE and Science tasks
Please remember you know your child best and can plan when it is the most effective time to sit down and complete the tasks. But there is an expectation that each child will participate with learning for 3 hours each day. Do not forget to tune into our live story times and live celebration assembly. Each week a link will be sent out to you via MCAS and also available on your Google Classroom. Below you will find a range of information to help at home.
